Thank you for joining our growing organization. We have increased membership from 130 to 570 in the last 10 years and it is because of the continuous support of our members and our community.
As our membership has grown so has our investment back into the community. Below are a few of the initiatives that the CBC, with help from the Haile Foundation, are involved in:
We installed over 80 flower pots along Madison Ave, and expanded the project into Mainstrasse last year.
We maintain the flowers with a spring mix, fall mix and a winter mix.
We commissioned an art mural project along RiverCenter Boulevard at the Sanitation District Pump Station to improve the public right way. The station helps in maintaining safe river levels during heavy rains. We have received many favorable remarks about how much better that thoroughfare looks while drawing attention to an important role the station plays.
We assisted with a wayfinding program that is aimed at connecting the 3 Covington business neighborhoods and encouraging patrons to frequent these locations. Using banners, signs and a website we plan to direct people to neighboring businesses.
We also host over 100 events per year which offer a great chance to network and get your business in the community. Below are some of the events that we host.
Monthly Luncheons- Typically held on the 3rd Thursday of the month. These regularly draw over 150+ attendees including elected officials and other prominent business professionals.
Hard Hat Tours- These offer members a behind the scenes tour of businesses that are in the building process.
Monthly Socials- Typically held the 3rd or 4th week of the month at various member establishments. These are open to anyone and there is no cost to attend, just what you drink.
Nonprofit Lunch n Learns- Held Quarterly and free to attend.
Business Insight Series- Hosted quarterly focusing on topics relevant to our members.
Quarterly Advocacy Forums- Held quarterly these forums focus on Advocacy topics in our community.
