First there was a CBC. Now introducing, the EBC, Erlanger Business Council

The CBC had a chance to share its success story and lend support to an initiative to start a new business advocacy organization tentatively named the Erlanger Business Council. This new group is the brainchild of Erlanger City Council Woman and Mayoral Candidate Jessica Fette and current Mayor Tyson Hermes.  Fette and Hermes organized a late June meeting to discuss the idea and had a turnout of about 30 interested businesses. CBC Executive Director Pat Frew talked about the explosive growth in membership, event attendance and programs in his eight years at the CBC.  He offered suggestions on how the Erlanger group might develop slowly so as not to create a burden on volunteers.  The group decided to meet monthly and will reconvene July 31 at 8:30am to discuss additional steps. In the meantime, Frew invited anyone interested to attend upcoming weekly CBC Connects networking meeting which might closely resemble the group Fettes and Hermes are hoping to see developed.  For more information, contact jessica.fette@cityoferlanger.gov.

The Covington Business Council is eager to help other communities start a business group.  If you need assistance or guidance, please contact  Pat Frew, CBC Executive Director at  pfrew@cbcky.com.
