At SURE Mechanical, we are proud of the wide range of Capabilities and differentiators that we have been able to build into our business model. SURE Mechanical is a minority-owned commercial Heating Ventilation and Air-conditioning (HVAC) contracting firm in Southern Ohio that offers a full range of mechanical design, fabrication, installation, HVACR Services and engineering Capabilities
Our unique mentor – protégé relationship with Megen Construction Company and Grote Enterprises ensures our unparalleled ability to leverage support Capabilities from these firms when needed. As a product of the varied experience and expertise of the SURE team and our ability to leverage Capabilities from our mentors as needed, SURE Mechanical distinguishes itself from her competitors.
SURE Mechanical employs a diverse group of project managers, journeymen and apprentices at our 12,000 sqft facility located in a federally designated HUBZone. We also qualify as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) in the City of Cincinnati and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in Ohio.
Prior to beginning work on any project, the SURE project team reviews the drawings to identify any constructability challenges and determine which portions of the work can be prefabricated in our 10,000 sqft pipe shop.
Maximizing prefabrication offers several benefits to our construction projects. First, consistent quality is achieved, because all of the work is being performed in a clean, controlled environment. Also, on-site material storage is decreased to a minimum, and assemblies are delivered to the project as needed for installation. Finally, since work is being performed at our facility, the on-site crew size and installation time are decreased.
In summary, optimal prefabrication not only increases efficiency, but it leads to a safer site, effective cost and a more reliable construction experience for our clients.
Building Information Modeling (B.I.M.) is a tool by which a building is designed and coordinated in a 3-dimensional computer model. This enables the project team to easily identify conflicts, accurately incorporate changes, provide for effective facility management and maintenance once a project is completed. By leveraging our relationship with our industry partners, SURE Mechanical is able to manage or participate in the B.I.M. process on any project.
On projects that do not employ B.I.M. design, SURE Mechanical performs all systems coordination utilizing 3D software. This process allows our team to optimize prefabrication opportunities and facilitates the completion of fabrication drawings for our shop. Since our estimating system ties into the 3D coordination software, we are able to quickly ascertain the cost associated with a proposed change or value engineering suggestion.
The SURE Team is dedicated to the implementation of Lean principles and tools on all of our construction projects. Lean utilization builds team collaboration, cooperation, aims to reduce waste, and empowers the workforce to identify and participate in the solution of problems and challenges. At SURE Mechanical, we abide by Lean philosophies, by utilizing Lean tools in the planning and administration of all of our projects.
At SURE Mechanical, we feel it is our responsibility to act as stewards of our environment. We strive to manage our facility with an emphasis on conservation and recycling. The SURE Team is comprised of individuals with varying experience including several LEED projects. Our President, Chukwuma Ekwueme is a LEED Accredited Professional, and looks forward to assisting our clients in achieving their project’s sustainability standards or goals. Our LEED resources can also be supplemented through our industry partnerships, as required.
Providing great customer service is our main focus in all that we do, along with comprehensive products and services for your company. Depending on each project and customer’s needs, budget, frequency and different requirements we will work with you alongside our knowledgeable technicians to provide to you the best maintenance plans or replacements for your mechanical needs.
SURE Mechanical’s commercial service department can provide an agreement unique to your needs. We can perform monthly, quarterly, semiannual and or annual mechanical service on commercial properties, to help you avoid costly breakdowns and repairs to your equipment and system.
Inspections: SURE Mechanical’s service department can provide an inspection of your current mechanical system and offer recommendations on improvements and/or maintenance.
Energy Audits: An Energy Audit can help your management team determine if your current mechanical system needs to be replaced. This audit will provide information on your present utility costs versus the utility cost of a replacement system. Your mechanical system should be evaluated every few years to make sure the units are running efficiently to maximize your savings.
