The CBC Welcomes Four New Members to the Board

COVINGTON BUSINESS COUNCIL ELECTS NEW CHAIR, BOARD MEMBERS

COVINGTON, Ky. Jay Fossett, former Covington City Manager and the current Dayton City Administrator, has been elected Chair of the Covington Business Council Board of Directors.

Fossett, who grew up in Covington, is a graduate of Holmes High School, the University of Kentucky, and Northern Kentucky University, where he received both a law degree and a master’s degree in Executive Leadership and Organizational Change. Fossett will serve as Board Chair for two years, and he replaces Tom Tilmes, who recently retired from Republic Bank.

These individuals join 16 other civic and business leaders on the CBC Board. The Covington Business Council is a membership-based business advocacy group whose mission is to advocate for a healthy business climate in Covington.

Over the past 12 years, the CBC has more than tripled in membership from 130 to approximately 490 member companies, mirroring the City’s business and economic growth. Between 2021 and 2022, Covington announced more than 3,700 new jobs, approximately $143 million in private investment, and filled 422,000 square feet of office space. The Council annually hosts more than 100 educational and networking events.
