March Monthly Luncheon: A Permanent Home Finally: The New Covington City Hall

Thursday, March 14th, 2024 | 11:30 -1:00 PM
Embassy Suites RiverCenter | 10 E. RiverCenter Blvd; Covington
Covington City Hall has had five temporary homes in the past half century. But that’s about to change in the next year with the pending planned construction of a new permanent City Hall on the eastern side of the 600 block of Scott Street, currently a vacant grassy lot. The new 42,000 square foot building will not only house city offices and host council meetings and other official city business. Leaders also envision it as a community center of sort hosting community groups to use for celebrations, public arts projects, or other civic uses, whether inside or outside in what will be a spacious plaza area. Join us for the March 14 CBC monthly luncheon when representatives from the City-chosen architecture firms share the vision and timeline for the space. Elevar Design Group President Kim Patton and Brandstetter Carroll Inc. President Ben Branstetter will further shed light on features for the structure which officials hope will be completed by the end of 2025.
