Join us March 10 as City Manager Ken Smith updates business leaders on the work of the Covington Parking Authority. The Authority was created in 2018 to professionalize parking and make it an active participant the city’s business and entertainment destination growth.
Parking is big business in Covington with more than 2,500 public parking spaces from the Ohio River to 10th streets, encompassing 13 surface lots, three parking garages and 420 meters in the City’s northern perimeter. City Commissioners will soon update the parking ordinance to address issues like extended hours, weekend usage and rates at meters, surface parking and garages. Ken will provide details of that action at the luncheon.
Ken Smith was appointed City Manager in 2021 after directing the Covington Neighborhood Services Department for three years. He has also served as Executive Director of Price Hill Will, a community development agency and was Operations Director for Brighton Properties, Inc.
“The CBC has provided me the opportunity to network with other local business leaders. Being new to the area this has become a valuable resource.”
