Join us Wednesday, August 3 from 4:30-5:30PM for the latest installment of the CBC Hard Hat Tour you will NOT want to miss. Recently, we announced at the CBC luncheon that the new spectacular 500-seat event space at North by Hotel Covington will be the site of the December 1 CBC Annual Dinner, capping off the Council’s series of events marking our 50th anniversary celebration. North is part of the $26 million Phase Two development extending Hotel Covington’s block long footprint from Madison and 7th to Madison and Pike (19 W. Pike). As part of the tour, you’ll get an exclusive sneak peak of the Annual Dinner venue and view other key components still being completed:
The building dates back to 1912 and the turret that was blown off during the tornado in the 60’s has now been restored. The Salyers Group announced the opening of the popular Hotel Covington in September, 2016, following the transformation of the 1910 Coppin’s Department Store Building into a luxury boutique property.
Based on the demand for people wishing to see the originally proposed Hotel Covington when we hosted a Hard Hat Tour 6-7 years ago we expect many people will wish to attend this tour. While admission to this event is free to members, please register so our hosts can staff additional tour groups that may be needed. As is normal practice for our Hard Hat tours, we will also have a social from 5:30-7 following the tour at Coppin’s in Hotel Covington.
“The CBC has provided me the opportunity to network with other local business leaders. Being new to the area this has become a valuable resource.”
