CBC Luncheon

Ovation is a 25-acre mixed-use development at Newport on the Ohio, that is expected to have 900 residential units, restaurants, retail, hotels, and offices.

Phase 1 of construction began last fall and is expected to be complete by the end of the year and includes a 550-car parking garage and music venue that offers space for 2,700 people inside and 7,000 people out. Phase 2 includes a hotel and office building.

Thomas E. Banta, Managing Director

Corporex Companies, LLC and Corporex Realty & Investment, LLC

Over his 34-year career with Corporex, Mr. Banta has worked in nearly all functions of the company and in nearly all divisions. Through his tenure with Corporex, the company has built over 18 million square feet of commercial real estate including more than 40 hotels, 24 office buildings and 6 business parks. Mr. Banta serves on the Board of Directors for Tri-ED, REDI Cincinnati and the Butler Foundation. Previously, Mr. Banta served as a board member for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce and Eagle Hospitality, a NYSE publicly traded hospitality REIT, from the time of inception until August 2007 when the REIT was sold in a market-based transaction. Mr. Banta is a graduate of Indiana University with a dual degree in finance and real estate administration.
