Roger Peterman is a partner in the Peck, Shaffer & Williams division of Dinsmore & Sholh LLP in Covington. He is an alumnus of the University of Kentucky and the University of Kentucky College of Law.
In his career of more than 30 years, he has acted as bond counsel and underwriter's counsel in hundreds of municipal bond transactions involving several billion dollars of funding for public projects.
Mr. Peterman has also assisted in drafting several statutes relating to government finance, including the Kentucky Short Term Borrowing Act, the Governmental Leasing Act, the Kentucky Uniform Bond Laws and the Incremental Financing Act. He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the Municipal Attorneys Association of Kentucky, in addition to the Northern Kentucky, Kentucky and American Bar Associations.
He has also worked with nonprofit organizations regarding their capital financing needs and has helped structure financings for numerous economic development projects.
He has been active in the Northern Kentucky community and currently serves on the Fort Thomas City Council, the Northern Kentucky Port Authority Board, the South Bank Partners Board of Directors, the Covington Business Council Board of Directors and the St. Elizabeth Foundation Board. He is a past Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce board member and served on its Executive Committee in the 1990s. He is also a past board member of the Tri-County Economic Development Corporation.
